Here are scanned copies of the official VW Maintenance Schedule Books from two of the cars we look after. A 2016 GTI SE and 2017 AllTrack. It’s the ultimate source on what the factory says at least. The table below is information we just took from the books. Volkswagen Technician Service Manuals – Maintenance Intervals.

I have a very low mileage 2017 GTI (14k miles). In theory, I believe you are supposed to do this service at 40k OR 4 years. Its' now been 4 years, but it seems like it would be better to wait for 40k miles, right? Just continue to do yearly fluid changes (oil, etc) Sort by Most reactions. Come to Firestone Complete Auto Care for manufacturer-recommended routine maintenance on your 2011 Volkswagen Golf and a skilled technician will start the appointment with a Courtesy Check. This Courtesy Check can establish a baseline of what may need to be addressed during your service appointment. Each Courtesy Check includes a free battery timely maintenance is very important. Consider a slightly shorter oil interval. Check oil levels maybe every 1-2 gas tank fill ups and on those days, check tire pressure too if tuned consider shortening the dsg service by a bit too and oil as well. Edit; sorry about the bad info. According to shopdap mk7 and 7.5 dsg interval is the same. My
The 7 speed DSG (dq381) is a wet clutch DCT just like the 6 speed dq250 was. There is a dry clutch DSG called the dq200, but it was only offered on the 1.0L - 1.9L engines from the lower model Golfs sold outside of NA. The MK7.5 GTI and R use the wet clutch dq381.
Jul 21, 2014. #3. My work golf is on the long life service regime. The max distance interval is actually 30,000 Kms so that equates to 18,750 miles. As I do 30K miles a year it does mean that I only have to get it serviced every six months or so! It's fine for a lease car that you get to hand back after 3 years but my wife's golf gets an annual

Hey guys, I just got a 2015 GTI SE DSG with 36,900k miles (not my first MK7 GTI). Since i'm not positive on the service history and quick google searches
According to my owners manual the DSG service interval is 40,000 miles/60,000km. I'm just about to hit 50,000km on my Golf and was thinking of doing the DSG service early. Money well spent on preventive maintenance or is it unnecessary? I was quoted $1200CAD to do the 60,000 major service interval so if it's not needed I'd prefer to wait.
How to Check your Brakes MK7.5 GTI Service Schedule as Per VW's Requirements Brake Fluid Flush - 1st flush after 3 years, every 2 years for every following flush Cabin Filter - Replace every 20k Miles or Every 4 years whichever occurs first (as per VW)
Most issues with skipping DSG services come from skipping entire intervals, and harder driving habits. Like not doing the 40k service, drive hard up to and past 80k and still not doing it. So while the chance is there with this car. It's rather minimal. I'd search around for another car that DOES have a recorded service history though.

Expert mechanics know that the 40,000-mile mark calls for services beyond the standard 10,000-mile maintenance. During a typical 40,000-mile service appointment, mechanics inspect components like the tires, battery, brakes, and engine. They’ll identify problems and recommend repairs or replacements if necessary. The GTI S is kind of the killer package - all of the performance (minus the dynamic suspension), less weight (no sunroof) and plaid seats, plus a volume knob. From what I can tell, a good set of Konis or Bilsteins would largely offset the loss of the dynamic dampeners. You can get one for under $31K with a manual. GRM+ Member and UberDork. iMQ1kE.
