Check battery voltage. If battery voltage is low some things wont work, heated screen will not switch on if voltage is not high enough to confirm the alternator is charging. You might have a weak battery or failing alternator. Also check earth connections, the one on the gearbox has been known to come loose and cause odd electrical problems.
4294 posts · Joined 2007. #15 · Jan 11, 2010. mostly sorted now it was because when i removed my heated seat plugs i cut the illumination wires for the switch and forgot about em :shocked: whilst i was putting the facelift dash in :tonofbricks: so thet were touching i think as iv covered em up and now it all works.

Do the procedure and when you press the button on the fob and get the tone. then straight away press the button on the 2nd fob. so ignition on/off procedure then press button on fob 1, then press on fob 2 and then. exit the program mode.
